Kansas City authors
The Kansas City area spans two states, and its writers range from genre novelists to business authors and church and community publishers. For business and nonfiction books, the cover often needs to work at a speaking event table as much as in a store, so print quality and a clean spine matter.
If you are printing a short run for an event or a book launch, tell us the printer and the date. We build the print file to that printer's template and leave time for a proof copy.
How a Kansas City cover project runs
- You send the brief: title, genre, formats, trim size and page count.
- We reply with questions or a written quote and a delivery date.
- You get two or three cover directions as rough comps and pick one.
- We refine it, build the files for each format, and send print-ready and ebook files.
Everything happens by email, shared folders and video calls booked in Central time. We have no office in Kansas City; a cover needs a good brief, not a meeting room.

Questions
Can you meet a launch date?
Tell us the date in your brief. The quote states the delivery date for final files, and we plan the comps and revisions to fit it, leaving time for a printed proof.
Do you design workbooks and journals?
Covers, yes. Large trim sizes like 8.5 by 11 inches use the same full-wrap approach with a wider front and back.
Ask for a quote
The price depends on the formats you need, whether the art is custom illustration, licensed stock or type only, and the number of revision rounds. Each project gets its own written quote.
